The supply of decent 165SR15 tires has been getting a little thin recently, and since the stock 15 x 4" wheels won't really handle anything wider than that, I've been thinking about going to a more modern wheel/ tire combo on my Volvo 122. I know ford used the same bolt pattern (5 x 4.5 or 5 x 114.3mm) and I was thinking about finding some alloy Mustang wheels. Like these:
Question is, the Volvo uses lug- centered wheels. A buddy of mine offered me some 16 x 7's from his Supra, but they're hub- centered. Are the Mustang wheels hub or lug centered?
Dunno the answer but another option may be the 2nd gen RX-7 wheels of the same bolt pattern. They have 15x6.5 BBS wheels that come in around 12 lbs.
I wouldn't worry about the wheels being hubcentric or lugcentric. If the center bore will go on the Volvo hub you can use them.
Lug, should be.
Where are you located I have a set still I do believe.

Westminster,MD. Do yours look like the one I pictured? Have center cap? Price? Shipping should be about $25 each, I think.
Do they use a special lug nut?
Also, the Mustang studs are the same size as the 122- 1/2-20. The Supra studs were 12mm.
5x 114.3 is also many others.. Lexus IS300 for one....

And they may vibrate as a result.
if you got a set of 15x4 5x114.3 I will buy them fyi so SCCA doesn't throw a fit at the next rallycross.
I have lots of steel 15" 5 x 114.3 stock volvo wheels. Unfortunately most of them have tires on them. If you'll pay for shipping with the tires on them, or pay my cost to get them dismounted, you can have the wheels for $5 each+shipping. Or come pick them up.
