I would have loved to have seen it. I'd prefer it over F1.
I have to think that the reason why road courses have not become popular with the nascar set is that many of the tracks themselves have poor setups for viewing. You just can't see most of the track from one spot.
I saw that ONE car at the Detroit Auto Show almost 20 years ago. Alfa was the only manufacturer to actually make one of those proposed cars.

Actually, that could be some fun racing. The power, noise and mechanical grip of an F1 car, but (theoretically) with aero that allows close running.
