I've been building my 2008 E82 BMW 128i 6MT for the past 1.5 years. I've spent a ton of time over in the builds section here on GRM, trying to document all the things.
I recently started an actual blog/webpage, called Investigating the Apex .
I've tried to write actual stories and breakdowns of the entire process of building the 128i. I'm not exactly Dostoevsky or Hemingway, but an effort is being made nonetheless!
Future plans include track days, road trips and of course- more mods.
Since I've been here on GRM for over a decade, I figured I would share it with anyone that was interested.
Did you happen to save the YouTube Videos that were most useful for the rear subframe bushing inserts?

I sure did! It's an easy job:

Thanks for the vid.
With the car on Jack stands - what did you use to support the subframe and the diff? Just a tall jack or some other prop mechanism?
In reply to OHSCrifle :
I just used a jack. I actually have 2 floor jacks in the garage, but I can't remember if I used both of them or just 1. In the background of the photos I took, I only see 1 jack, so I think I just used that one. If your jack isn't tall enough just stack some wood on top of it to make up the height.
That's a beauty, I'm still hanging on to my E46 coupe that I bought brand new over 2 decades ago. I've babied it all this time and it still look as good as it did when I first brought it home.

Yeah, I feel like I would have a tough time letting go of an E46 if owned for over 2 decades!
I've come close to buying an E46 on more than a few occasions. I've always thought the E46 was the most timeless-looking car BMW has ever made. I also thought it was the most attractive car they ever made, up until the moment they released the F87 M2 (yes, I have a legitimate bias). I still crane my neck anytime an E46 drives by! Solid work holding onto it!
