We had over a month of 100* + days. In the heat of the afternoon, the loft was too much to bear, but I was OK with the rest.
Im a morning person, so the heat of the afternoon is rarely an issue.
If it bugs me, I'll spray some foam insulation. But definitely not this year.

I also got 220V run to a sub panel in the shop. That doesn't offer much in the way of fun pictures, but it sure is a massive step forward!

I can get one, but it's gonna be a few days. They weren't cheap, but sometimes there are other values in life!
I also need to post a pic of them in the daylight because they look great then too, but I forgot to take one, and I am on the road for a few days. I'll add them this weekend.

They are LEDs, so they draw very little power. I wired them into a photocell so they operate dusk to dawn.
From an aesthetic/architectural standpoint...that's got to be the nicest. most appealing outbuilding/shop I've ever seen that wasn't a magazine feature.
Maybe it needs to be a magazine feature.
Great work.

Beautiful work. The lights are a "chef's kiss."
Great looking shop!
Is there a website you like to look at to see the price lists for the building materials on these hybrid buildings?
I googled a couple, but they wanted an email address to get a quick quote.

I doubt anyone would post a price list. Commodities pricing for steel and wood fluctuate too fast, and labor has more to do with who is available then any fixed price could communicate
I just call the local manufacturers.

...I can tell you this. They can be custom built, and therefore available in any width, pitch, overhang, etc. However, there are standards that are common, and it changes the price significantly.
I wanted 26'trusses originally, but that was a custom size. The 28' trusses were much cheaper (and readily available ). The pitch of my roof is standard pitch. If I had made it anything else, it would have cost a lot more. There is a big price difference for structures that are erected in areas that will require a permit vs areas that do not.
You're gonna have to talk with someone. Too many variables to post price lists.

I finally took a couple daytime pics of those wall sconces.
The black and wood grain worked so well with the rest of the building, I couldn't resist
Love the look!
What's the paint color option for the insides of the trim around the garage doors?

They are gonna be clad in the black crinkle finish metal, like the roof and fascias. I've got the metal... just haven't installed it yet.
The 2 free standing posts will be stained to match the other dark brown wood finishes. Just to bring the wood back down to ground level and draw the eye up.

Not a big update, but my girlfriend gave me a special gift for the shop for Christmas...
Reflective film! It cuts the heat, gives some privacy, and lets me watch people walking by do stupid stuff like picking their teeth in the reflection when they don't know I'm watching!!
I also realized I never posted the finished shots showing the metal trim and stain on the posts.
Love glass garage doors.
At night with the lights on inside, you'll have mirrors, and we will be able to watch you do stupid things.

I guess I'll have to put some pants on when I'm welding at night.
A nicely done project you have there. Now start building something in it!
