In case you didn't see this on my build thread, I just had to share it again...
I love the old capri's. There's a good roller for sale for $300 about an hour from me, no engine/trans though... Still very tempting.
Funny, I have an Uncle Mike who used to bracket drag a Capri.....but it was the Mercury mid eighties version.
Don't tell him, but I think yours is cooler.
I saw it on the other thread, but can't pass up saying COOL! again.
I wish I could have seen the faces of the other folks on the road. I would have given you a thumbs up, but I bet it really fries up the civilians..
Our youngest son, sitting in the car when the video starts, wasn't even born when I was racing. After I found and bought back the Capri, I came home one day and he had rebuilt the carb, anxious to work on the project.
I can't wait until we Auto X it this spring. I hope to vintage race it in 2014.
Thanks so much for the nice comments.

Can you post some info on that?
Also, the video is awesome!
It's cool that you are your own vintage!
I also like your Shasta. I grew up being hauled around the country in a similar one!
I dug up some old in-car footage from when I raced it 20 years ago. Of course it was VHS, so I swapped it to a DVD. The quality of the video isn't great, but it is neat to see my car at Daytona, Rockingham, and Charlotte.
Not only are cars light years ahead of where they were 20 years ago, so are video cameras. The Go Pro is really great for what it does. I'll have to ask my son to splice in some of the old footage for a final video when the Capri is completely done.
