A good article in a local paper back near my hometown. Steve is a relative of mine, he's (let me see if I remember this now), the husband of my dad's mother's sister's daughter. We'll just call him a cousin.

Started racing at 41, had to give it up for financial reasons, and now is racing again- nearly 70 and battling cancer. They don't mention it in the article, but along the way he helped his daughter get set up in racing, too- at 15 years old she was running right along side him. And he 's been building go-karts for the grandkids. At family reunions he and I will stand off in a corner somewhere swapping race stories. A great guy.

very cool story. we have a guy that is 73 and still driving in the mod class every sat night. we also just had a guy that suffers from being metaly handicapped just come out with a car that is set up more for endro racing then street stock and race every week. he gets laped like 3 times in a 8 lap heat race, but its cool to see him out there racing though.
