That's a reference most members on this board may be too young to remember. Some of them probably think Chuck Berry has something to do with breakfast cereal, or some such thing,
But I like it (although Maybellene drove a Coupe Deville).
I just picked up a '60 flat top. I think I'll call it "Distraction".
(that one's not mine, but it looks identical).
Kind of the polar opposite in terms of body lines, but both are cool.
Scuff that Patina with some scotchbrite pads, lay on three coats of matte clear, and drive it. I would be super tempted to go for a lake racer look. All it needs is some aluminum dog dish hubcaps.
Like this... without the chopped top and hole in the hood.... and not a buick.
I had a 62 SDV for a while.

I guess when I posted this I didn't even think about how old you would have to be to remember the song although it still gets some air play. I was at the auto parts store just the other day and when I pulled up there was a 53 Caddy two tone green all original sitting there. I found the owner in the store to talk to and he bought the car from the original owner.
It had been repainted but 40 years ago. It was amazing how well it had been cared for over the years The paint had faded to a matte color and the chrome had a bit of rust but the body didn't appear to have any through holes. The guy said he didn't have any intension of restoring but just preserving it. Man those cars had a lot of chrome.
