Clearly, more training is necessary. In addition, a good wife wouldn't point out that she's a good wife.
Well, in her defense, it should be know that the "race car" is actually a Challenge car... so it is a lot more than just a parking spot. It's construction, destruction, cussing, dirt, oil, other fluids, loud noises and generally a mess is what is an otherwise tidy garage.

A win is a win, I'd appreciate tolerance perhaps more than support, it is more of a sacrifice.

Yes. Clearly, more training is necessary. Please post pics and a short bio, including all the bad things you've ever done to tick her off. (I promise not to use a single one of them to convince her to divorce you unless she looks like Cindy Crawford.)
Much more training. My wife is pissed I haven't built her and the older kids a Lemons car yet.
Edit: Oh yeah, or changed the engine in the RX-7.
I was about to pick and say all the things those guys said... until I realized MY wife will not let me bring the race car home (What she doesn't know will only destroy the marraige, right?)
My wife doesn't seem to care when I bring a project home, but she does get pretty mad when I don't touch them for months.

Don't touch what for months?
I assume since she's wasting time on Facebook all the laundry is done, the floors are spotless and there is a fresh pie waiting for you?
Let me tell you about my wife: I dragged home a derelict VW Baja and she declared that she wanted to do the bodywork-attached is a pic of the finished car and my wife. Then, when I decided to build my crazy race car, she asked if she could build a fiberglass bumper for it, and cleaned the engine with little brushes.
My SWMBO just demands that i build cars for her because she thinks she might want to autocross.
It's "our" project. As in, she decides that she wants a motor in it, what seats, etc etc etc, and i do it.
One of my buddies posted up on FB "Dave, you need this..."
My wife's response: "He absolutely needs it. If I had the cash in my pocket, I'd drive over there and buy it."
nothing beats coming home to find a crashed mx6 and an escort lx in your driveway for no reason. and the nieghbors coming by to find out if we were ok considering the crashed car.
