I've been reading up on the procedure, as my passenger-side inner tie rod has developed ~1mm of play. The R&R sounds pretty straightforward, but do I need to order the new washer/tab parts too? Or should I be ok with reusing the existing ones?

I'm doing inners/outers/boots, and replacing the camber bolts & aligning it too. Anything else recommended while I'm in there?

I recently did the same work on my '90. Both of the inner tie rod washers were totally beat when I got them out, so I'd recommend ordering new ones. I think they were only a dollar or two IIRC.

I'd also check the ball joints carefully if you haven't replaced them recently. If they're starting to go and you catch them early you can just replace the boots, which are cheap.

Replace them. I also demolished them when disassembling the rack to de-power it for my Midlana project.

The best way I found to bend the tabs out away from the arm was a set of dikes. The sharp edge helped pry up the corner of the tab enough to be able to grip it with some pliers and bend it the rest of the way.
