Modified. My old Duster ran 12s.

Looking to find a wrecked one down the road and swap it into my '05 Malibu (both epsilon platform) which is about 200 lbs lighter. That's my sleeper plan.
I encountered a 3800s/c swapped grampa tan malibu('02-4ish) a few years ago, kinda neat seeing that car holding dead even with my stock IRL to 130....
Find the rattiest I-roc Z and put in the biggest LS your budget will fit. Stock exhaust with electric cut outs so when you got WOT it gets LOUD.
As we all know, loud = fast.

I have wanted to do this to a Reatta for years. But I know I would never finish it.

As long as it's a project one would never finish... how about daydreaming about putting that 3800 SC in the trunk? The Reatta looks like it should have had the motor there to begin with.
Mosler Twinstar Eldorado.

My all time favorite was a 1971 Firebird, chalky white with big greasy handprints and dents everywhere, plain black wheels, ratty interior, speaker magnets holding holding the headliner up, etc. For those not Pontiac familiar, all the 70's era V8's use the same valve covers so the guy got painted valve covers off a 301, stuck them on the 455 Super Duty that backed by a M21 Muncie 'rock crusher' that fed a 4:11 positraction rear axle. That thing was a money maker...
I remember seeing a primer gray C10 pickup with what was described as a big block in it. Don't know the specifics but that truck was fast.
The early 2000s regal GS had the 3800 s/c and would be my pick for a sleeper with that engine stock.
Little different from others, but I have a '98 dodge diesel pickup that is almost never washed. Winch on the front, but otherwise totally stock looking. Slip it into 4wd at the light, and it is hilarious fun. Especially fun when towing a small trailer.
