I know we use "Hayabusa Engine" as the dream for a bike-engine project, but has the H2r become the new top-dog? I mean, OEM turbo.

You know, there might be something in there, in building add on body kits for Exocets, especially with styling nods to 50s and 60s sports cars.

We might be on to something.

If I had the cash I would do that right now. I think that's capable of producing something amazing and beautiful.

I've mentioned Davrian's before on GRM, ubt I've finally found a pic of my old car. Sorry for the really E36 M3ty images, but these were scanned from a couple of old prints.

Not 100% sure on the weight, but most agree easily less than 1,000lb's on the road. They are a fiberglass monoqoue made in three pieces. A lower floor, an inner tub and a roof section. The two lower parts are bonded together with expanding foam between them and you sit on the lower tub, no seats. Very light Hillman Imp running gear, rear mounted all alloy engine. It should be easy to put a bike engine back there. Semi trailing arm rear suspension with swing arm front suspension that workes way better than it sounds. The car below had no heat, no blower of any kind. Plastic side and rear windows. You lowered the windows by pulling a pin, sliding them down by hand so no useless heavy window mechanism. It was even watertight when parked undercover. Yeah mine was rough, but I was 20 at the time and broak. Still, it was my only car for about 18 months and you could easily fit a weekends worth of food and cloths behind the 'seats'

Other better pictures of other peoples cars

A Davrian too hard to find on this continent? Then get a regular Imp, still very light.

This is a stock shell with outer panels removed to be replaced in glass.

HEre's another with flared arches. Still a steel tub under there.

Suzuki engine in the rear. The rear window surround is cut away at the bottom to fit it as it's mounted virticaly where the stock Imp engine was mounted canted to the right at (from memory) 45degrees to the right.

A bone stock Imp was only around 1,500lb's with full interior and err 'safety' features. They didn't even have a fuse box, everything was hard wired!!

If things go according to plan, I should be able to sell you the pieces for one of these in not too long. circa 1000 lbs. with a bike engine, a bit more with a Duratec.

I think someone here has this E7x era Corolla. They are like 1800-1900 lbs according to google.

Kei cars like this Hond Beat are absurdly light.

GGA. Everything about this is right. Please follow through and make this kit. I won't be able to get one for a little while, but I will get one.

The Porsche Spyder replicas are light chassis. I have read about some with early 911 motors being brought in under 1300 pounds. I think they're getting done with Subi 2.5 water cooled motors now too.

We plan to run a limited batch of bodys shortly, which will in turn pay for development of a full kit. Don't worry, we'll be blowing our horn!

That's a great idea. I love the way that they look, but they are also known as steaming POS. Now if you got rid of everything but the pretty stuff......
I love that thing. Is there a coupe?

Do you really need a coupe?
