Pretty Sure not everyone is looking at Pete Gossets Vette Build But I tried to short cut the Info trail to a Great guy there named Bill Tiechnor(Miss spelled i'm sure) But Holley Is really a Great Place Full of Great People with a great Product. I am happy for you Jay, and all the rest that Have Now Gained Some Faith In them. Use them (the Carbs) and their Knowledge.

I'm unsure as to whether or not I will end up using this carb. My plan is to rebuild it as best I can and see how difficult it would be to make it work on my car. I know the fuel feed is on the wrong side and the linkage may not work for me. I can probably have it rebuild and ready to run for under $100 total.

If I can't use it I'll find itself in the $20xx classifieds section. Either way it needed to not be in a junkyard anymore.

So here's what I'm thinking. I'm gonna be dumb.

I'm thinking about doing the secondary metering block conversion on this carb, converting to a dual feed bowls with quick-change jets and centre hung floats. I'll put in the quick change secondary diaphragm housing, clear sight plugs and convert to electric choke.

It will probably cost about the same (or more) as it would to just buy that carb new, but this way I can spread that cost out over several paychecks and hopefully by building it from the ground up I'll learn a thing or two about carbs along the way.

Or maybe I'll sink stupid amounts of money into an old carb that will never run right. Who knows?
