Ooh, I just thought of some more.
I'd love to see the thread title "need help with tightening up your mom's loose rear end" or "need to lighten your mom, help me put her on a diet"
Ok, I'm done.
"Gave your mom a good lube job last night"
yeah... naming is got to come from you.... or in some cases a previous owner.
Do you have/had any other named cars? If there is a theme you're going with....
Mine are all girls, buddy has latino male names for his Miatai (says they sound "tough" and Miatai need tough)
Completely agree with the name has to come to you. Your car will show you its personality.
I don't usually name my cars, but my 2007 6 got the name Fudgie (Fudgie the whale) because its turning circle is similar to a beached whale. I wouldn't have come up with that if I hadn't lived with it.
In reply to SVreX: I thought about that but the big thing is color difference there

Oooh- I got it-
Kurisutin
(It's Japanese for Christine, plus you can say it with a really nasty guttural Samarai tone that sounds nasty)
Kind of like an angry John Belushi.

I have a very plain vanilla Ford Taurus that was my business car. No options at all. Not worth anything anymore but was well taken care of and still runs fine. I call it White Trash!

I was definetely on a different wave length with the name ray.
Ive always wanted a mazda so i could call it the mazdarati.
Name has to be earned though, generally from shenanigans.
Since it's on the C platform, why not name it Megan?
The name will come to you. My truck is Max, apparently at some point in it's past it was bought form a Carmax and it still has the max part of the sticker left on the tailgate. My car is named Stormy, it is blue exterior on gray interior. The day I brought it home we had storms and the sky was very much a blend of dark bluish-purple and gray like the car.

Your mom.
Then your friends could say things like "hey, lets go for a ride in your mom" and "I sure had fun with your mom last night" stuff like that.
I know a local GRM'er that has a mini bike named "Todd's face" just for such hilarities.
I can't see the photos, but how about "Black Rice" or maybe "Datsun" ducks
Well, if its anything like my old SE-R, it's loud, brash and not really all that fast compared to more modern offerings, so . . . D.W.?

Never understood the urge to name cars or other inanimate objects.
They don't come when they are called like a dog (if all dogs were named 'Dog' you'd be deluged with pooches every time you called yours).
Suspect there may be a cutesy gene I lack. Obviously those who name their boats have that gene in abundance; probably goes for naming cars too.
