Like the title states, I need to set up a PPI for a car thats located down there, and I don't have any familiarity with anyone down there.  Porsche of Wallingford apparently doesnt have an appt available until the end of March, so I'm looking at other options.  If anyone has any experience or input here, I'd greatly appreciate it!!!

Thanks in advance.

A buddy of mine used to work here and always had good things to say about their shop: https://excelerateperformance.com/

I've used Daniel Jacob's Hairy Dog Grrrage in Southbury for PPIs. They will find every single flaw and you won't want to buy the car, but they are very good.  Take their assessment and make your own decision.

There's also Automotive Associates in Canton/ Avon(?) and Jim Newton is an authority on the vintage stuff. His shop is on the cover of the 911 Performance Handbook.

You also have Chris Musante from Musante Motorsports in South Windsor and Speedsport Tuning in Danbury.

I would recommend any of these shops.

What kind of Porsche are you looking at?

I've had my cars serviced at Porsche of Wallingford. Great guys, but I wouldn't choose them for a PPI.

1st Gen Panamera Turbo.  It comes with a pile of dealer maintenance from Porsche of Wallingford, but I still want to due all of the due diligence.  Thanks for the Recs, making some calls now!

In reply to golfduke :

For that car, I'd choose Dan's shop in Southbury.

Tamra and Andrew Panamera? Good people, I would vouch for them. Also, Dan's shop is the best Porsche indy in area.

Haha, yes!  small world!  I 100% trust them, but I also know that it's a finicky car and just wouldn't sleep at night without a proper PPI.

A recommendation, late and therefore likely moot, not near Wallingford, and by proxy, for Jim Newton, whom my brother has taken his Porsche to for years (they also ride road bikes together).

I came to mention Chris Mustane and Woody was already on it.

Thanks all, PPI has been booked for tomorrow morning.  Time to see what kind of pile I'm lusting over after all!

As always, GRM members deliver the goods.   You all rock.

If you need a second opinion or additional input, Msport Motorwerx in Prospect is fabulous.  Lawrence is THE BMW/Porsche guy in the immediate area.

You'll need to log in to post.
