bought the escort. PM me for the vin.
Could someone run me a car fax?
Thanks
ugh
and here comes the debate...
Carkid.. don't you know someone on this board works for carfax?
big issue discussed ad nausuem on the old board.. If you want a carfax run, buy a subscription.
Was it?
And I thought that if you had a month subscription, you could run as many as you want. If someone has a subscription for the month, why not help CarKid out?

Bottom line is you have a month subscription for PERSONAL use.
Carfax trolls automotive forums and if they see requests for reports and can prove you ran it for someone else they will revoke your 30 day access and charge you $15 per report for every report you ran.
Too many people were/still are, selling the reports for a few bux each and making money off it.
Just dont do it. It gets the person with the carfax account in trouble and it can get the board owners in hot water if they allow it to happen. We like our board owners, dont put them in a spot.
did WaterLoggedAnarchist ever make the switch to the new GRM board? I'm looking at a car I'd like to have CarFax'd
Forgive my naivete' but what can CarFax tell you that poking, prodding, pulling and driving won't tell you?
Serious.
carfax can tell you if the car is a remade wreck. driving can tell you whether it was remade correctly.
Uh, carfax can tell you if repairs were made to the car and then reported. They won't know if someone took your used car to Big Bobs Lumber and Bondo Express.
Carfax can also tell you whether a car had a salvage title in CA, then re-titled in AZ for a year where they don't have salvage titles, then re-re-titled in CA minus the salvage. Nice to know value-wise. Not necessary driving-wise if one knows what to look for.
