I agree with Javelin. Torque Thrusts would look better than painted Cragers. I could see Panasports looking good as well if you're going for the psuedo-Trans Am look.
I would also go with non-staggered tires. The raked stance makes it look drag car-ish. A smidge more front neg-camber as well, if possible.
Beautiful car, regardless.
Only other thing I could think of to do with Cragars is paint the entire wheel. The gloss black/polished lip has to go IMO.

Redline tires might help, too.

Leave it as is. The big honkin 60 series sidewall is what's causing the difference. Besides a little height in the front levels out under braking. You will be driving this thing fast won't you?
Love the car! Actually, what stands out to me is that muffler hanging down so low. Looks kind of ghetto.
The stance could be a little lower, but you might have clearance issues. For an around-town car it's just right.
The funny thing is that I have nothing but praise for this car. I don't think anything needs to be fixed on it. I'd take it how it is and drive the E36 M3 out of it. The only reason I'm suggesting a gap change, and probably the only reason anyone is suggesting a change is because you asked. It's a cool car just how it sits.
I like it fine the way it is.
Again, I love the car! I think it looks really great as-is! But aussie asked and I think it could look even better if he made one of the suggested changes.
I can tell just by the pics that your front and rear tires are two different sizes. That's what's throwing off the look of the car. It looks fine to me to be honest.
The wheels don't look that bad. I usually lean more to Torque Thrust Ds myself.
If you want some old school "Bias-Plys", Go over to Coker Tire. Get some Firestone Wide Ovals. They would look appropriate. They are very pricey though.
I think I'd try to drop the front a half an inch. Barring that, I'd raise the back that same half. If you're going old school, raise the back.
If you don't like it change it.
But...I don't see anything wrong with that car dude. I would so be proud to drive it like it sits.
Nice ride

I like it. I'd pull the dent in the rear quarter and call it good :).
Don't change a thing. Looks fantastic.
Looks great to me too...
But if it really bothers you drop the back tires to 225s when you get done ahem burning those off...
Sorry, I meant when the rear tires wear out...

My favorite Mustang body style.
I agree with Javelin...this time at least ( )The painted Cragars really don't do any justice to the car. Instead of the TT's (which I like), maybe a set of Magnum 500's?
Truth be told, I'm thinking that the cars color is a hard match for wheels. We only worked on one, an original convertible with hubcaps.
First, I completely love your car.Don't think that I would change a thing including the period correct headers showing under the car look. I don't know if anyone pointed to the highly polished lips on the wheels. I swear it will look better if those are satin. They draw too much eye . Leave the high polished ones for the new edge Mustangs.
Just curious, What size wheels are on it? 15x7s up front and 15x8 out back? I am curious for my 66 Ford Ranch Wagon. I just bought those size wheels an I actually like the look of the car the way it sits in the original post.
It's hideous, terrible wheels, terrible color, wrong stance and it's the wrong year.
You should let me help you get that relic out of your garage. You would be much happier with something else I'm sure. I'll be happy to arrange transport to bring it to Tennessee so you will never have to look at the poor pitiful thing anymore.
White letter tires are only cool if you're replicating a car built in the 80s. Flip the tires around and it will look MUCH better.
I'd add about 3/4" to the rear ride height if easily achievable... otherwise leave it alone.
I think a big difference is in the tires. The blue car looks like it's got wider, equal sized rubber front and back but the big difference is that your tires seem to be skinnier at the tread than at the wheel. The blue car's tires are square shouldered by comparison.
Beautiful car, btw.

Nice chop!
Maybe try some tire-blacker as well. The blacker the better.

I like it fine just as it is, but ^^this^^ would rule. For that classic "baddie" look .
I think it looks fantastic, better than anything I currently own or have probably ever owned. I see no issues (other than it's not mine).
