Should I lower the top after I park to keep the snow off of it?

I'd say that it would likely damage the top if you put it down with any snow/ice on it. Putting it down when the material is that cold could have bad consequences as well.

Yeah, many miata owners have already discovered that truth. Dont operate the top in cold weather.
Our local miata club has participated in the annual City of Gatlinburg Christmas parade for over 10 yrs and it is way too easy to lose a back window, zipper or worse if you arent careful about top operation. You may not have to worry about a non-glass window on a Solstice but vinyl like R tires doesnt do well in the cold.

Getting enough snow out of the footwells to operate the pedals is a PITA, speaking from experience.

So that's what a Sol looks like with snow on it..... Mine hasn't seen daylight in 4 months now....

I think he was making light of the snow we been getting (and continue to get) in Ohio. I'm sure he feels like the rest of us that Spring can't get here too soon...

Unfortunately, the answer around here is ALWAYS Miata, even if the question was a joke. Speaking from experience, I can say the Sky definitely doesn't have much traction in the snow, but if the roads are clear you shouldn't let a little cold spoil the fun!

In reply to Nashco: Preachin' to the choir, my friend. This car gets driven every day, all year round. It was new in September of '08, and I just turned 35k miles. FWIW, I think it goes pretty well in the snow for a sports car. Only problem I have is getting up my driveway, and believe me, after a long day at work and a 40+ mile commute home, that is a BIG problem.

Plastic windows will get brittle in the cold! Warm it up before trying to lower the top.
