I think i'm going to "have" to build new window switches for the Miata, which is fine. It's easy, and i'm not bound by the factory center console, so i don't have a need to stay married to the stock switches everyone wants stupid money for.
This is the switch type i need: http://www.parts-express.com/dpdt-heavy-duty-toggle-switch-center-off-momentary--060-376
But, it's ugly. Does the same thing exist in a rocker that isn't all chrome-y?
These are beautiful, but don't "fit" my car at all.
what about an OEM switch from another car? just run to the junkyard and grab a couple with the wiring connection on the other side too. With a multimeter you should be able to figure them out pretty quickly.
That sounds way harder to mount in a panel, more work, and more time.

Just need the appropriate sized rectangular hole to snap it into.
Or get the toggles and use these:

They have the panels with the guards too.
Or just get generic power window switches:

Well... you guys are awesome today. Now i have 3 good choices.
A new factory one is $41.
Hrmmm... i wasn't able to find one for cheaper than $55-$60 range after shipping. Am i missing a source? Rosenthal doesn't even have it listed, they only have NB2 listed for $90+.
Mazda Competition, baby! You can get the team support pricing if you do two track days a year or a couple of autocrosses.
OEM Saab switches for cheap, just need a rectangular hole and it pops into place.

In reply to Keith Tanner:
Ah ok. Still waiting for them to approve me. Suppose i should call them.
Switch is going in a custom panel where the air bag panel used to be, though. Not much reason to stick with OEM other than ease of plugging into existing wiring.
Lots of rocker switches here rocker switches.
I have used the Carling parts and they are quite nice and fit with most automotive interiors.

Mazda Competition Program gives you fairly deep discounts on parts. 2 sanctioned events a year, submit proof, yadda yadda, receive perks.
