A friend is looking for some exhaust bits to finish up an engine swap in his Subaru. The part he's having the hardest time finding is a 2-1 Y Collector 1 5/8 - 3.

Does anyone know of a supplier that has odd bits like that?

Or does anyone in NE Pennsylvania know of an exhaust shop that does stuff like that?

that's a pretty big step up in size- don't know that you'll find anything like that.. why not just make one? flatten one side of a 3" pipe down to 1 5/8" in a vice and use a hammer to form it to the proper shape around the 2 pipes? maybe 1/2 hour of fab time.

Like this?

Took a little longer than 1/2 an hour though...

Area wise, 2-1/2" would carry two 1-5/8" tubes just right, why the 3"? lot cheaper too. If you don't mind me asking.

Yeah I told him 3" was plenty big, but he already had the 3" exhaust for the car. Then he got rid of the EJ25 and put in an EG33 and has to adapt the new engine to the old exhaust.

I used to have a single 3" exhaust pipe on a Chevy 350. It absolutely killed low end torque. Went back to a 2 1/2 inch pipe and it's much better.

Google "Burns Stainless" they have lots of unusual exhaust components. I hope this helps.
