I need some help finding what became a somewhat rare wheel. The biggest problem is that I just need one wheel, not a whole set.
I am looking for a BBS RS001, this is a 3 piece 4x100, 7x15 with an et of 25 and center bore of 57mm and it was used on BMWs and VWs. I could also use just the center piece.
There are alternatives that I could also make work, but the RS001 is what I want. Alternatives that could work are RS002, RS016, RS070, RS071, RS072; there are more but not as common. These wheels all have markings on the center part by the lug bolts, it will say RSxxx. I do not want a filled and redrilled center, but missing waffles, bent lip or a cracked barrel is ok ... I really want the center part.
I basically want to build a spare wheel for my e30 as I want to drive it to Asheville, NC from south Florida to attend the Vintage.
If you find anything online, please post it up. Thanks!
Just for reference, this is what the wheel looks like and where to find the model number:
Have you checked VWVortex? That used to be a great place to find all kinds of BBS and other popular EDM wheels.
Every now and then I check the classified section of VWVortex, actually that is where I bought these. My main problem is that I am looking for only one, they usually have complete sets.
I might post a WTB there, just had to be careful as I have already been scammed once ... luckily AMEX stepped in and made me whole.
You could also try a WTB in the Florida BMW classifieds group on FB. It's pretty active.

I am probably one of the few nutcases that has no Facebook lol. I know I am missing out when it come to mktplace :(
I just posted a WTB on VWVortex. We'll see what comes off of that.
Try a running search on eBay as well. I still have a search going for Panasport wheels. Maybe once a year something pops up with a small Triumph bolt pattern.
Buying two might be worth it. Spare for the car plus one in reserve.
In reply to Ian F (Forum Supporter) :
I'll try that. I did not know you could set up an automated search.
I do check ebay regularly though.
You should also try r3vlimited.
In reply to Olemiss540 :
R3v is dead unfortunately. No one posts anymore. Everyone probably moved on to FB groups.

Paging Chander to the courtesy phone?
I'd check out the rare wheel awareness group in FB. There are a ton of individuals trafficking in BBS. There are also a couple very reputable shops that make their living refurbishing and building customs. I would bet they could hook you up if you reached out. Be ware, it won't be cheap as that is a very sought after wheel among Euros and JDMs.

I thought about PMing Chandler as I was starting the thread .
I dont have FB, but I will fwd that link to my brother and have him post there.
I am very aware of BBS RS pricing, and to think that I bought 3 set of these 15 years ago, the most expensive was $700

Sometimes you have to jump on a good deal. I had one set of wheels pop up while I was at a restaurant. The BIN price was so good, I bought them right then while waiting for my food.

I've been watching for a set for a bit now for my MK1 GTI... Pricey, but so pretty...
In reply to 84FSP :
The ones on my car came from an MK1, it looked great.

After my wife finally got annoyed with me shopping FB under her login she setup me up a dump account. Its nothing but groups to buy and sell from. I highly recommend it. FB will police you hard for the first few weeks until the algorithm sees you aren't a scammer, as it already recognizes you aren't legit. Totally worthwhile.
Can't help finding the wheels unfortunately (last set I saw in australia was listed for 4k USD), but am curious what lip size is being used on the white e30 above. I have a set of RS003's that I need to refurbish.
RE: R3V - it's a shame that many good forums seem to be slowing down. I did notice that they have a new N52 swap subforum, so there is still some solid activity (but nothing like in the past).

Might end up doing that one of these days.

The wheels on the e30 started as RS001, same as RS003 (one is gold and one silver I believe). I used 2" lips on the front and 2.5" on the rear wheels. Tires are Dunlop Direzza in 205/50-15. I sealed the wheels with Toyota FIPG over 10 years ago and they dont leak at all.
If you are planning on putting them on an e30, I would use 2" lips all around. The rears do not rub at all, but a square setup would allow me to rotate the tires and get more life out of them. I can post more pics if you want.
R3v: I lurk all the time, its not what it used to be but there is good info there.
Ebay.de german ebay is where I would look. I didn't think centers were that hard to find but must be. Always wanted to build a set myself but got priced out.
I don't have any right now, with the forums mostly dieing it's harder to pick up onesies. Instagram seems to be a good place to find them with a ton coming out of Eastern Europe. @g.a.s_78 is a good place to start and follow the rabbit hole.

Is that an IG account? I can seem to find anything wheel related under that name.

What's your ig?
I got hacked years ago by a "let's sell Russian women pics" type thing and never went back.
