How else am I going to:
Get my 76 quadravan fixed and up and running with a new 460 engine
and...buy...
- back my 69 olds delta 88 that I sold to afford my wife's ring (actually the second 69 olds hardtop I owned, the first one was one I had in high school)
- back my dad's 1963 340 hp, black convertible corvette that has been owned by his friend for 40 years and that sits in a shed the last time I checked
- the mid-90's Mercedes E500 I have always wanted
- the late 70's Mercedes 450 sel 6.9 that I must have
- the M35 Military truck that I really, really need, you know to haul things.
- the mid 70's ford station wagon replacement for the vehicle I once owned a few years ago and that I loved to drive as much as the wife and neighbors hated. (Don't ask why)
- the black, mid 60's cadillac convertible with red interior and white top
- the early miata that just needs some love and a V-8
- the early 60's lincoln convertible that seems just to get more expensive every day.
- a replacement for my old, rust free, perfect condition 914 that was totaled when some doofus ran a redlight and creamed me...
Maybe I need to go back to school, or get that second job, or win the lottery. Feel free to provide your list, no explanation needed.
1.) Another BMW 2002. Still kicking myself for letting the last one go.
2.) Another E21 BMW 323i.
3.) A Big Healey. Cheap when I was a kid, about $25K for a good one now.
4.) Lotus Europa Twin Cam .
5.) My old Triumph GT-6 Plus (Mk.2). I wonder if it's still where I left it..
6.) BMW E9.
7.) Mid 1970s full-size Jeep wagon (I'd rather have the Cherk).
8.) Ferrari 400GT ("Hello, my name is Jay, and I'm a GT car addict.")
9.) Datsun 240z.
10.) Another 2nd gen Honda Prelude.
1.) Porsche 930 turbo
2.) 69 Mustang Mach 1
3.) 72 Ranchero CJ 428 4 speed
4.) 68 Thunderbird suicide door sedan
5.) 83 RX7 LE
6.) FD RX7 LS7
7.) Z06 Corvette
8.) Lotus Elite
9.) 68.5 Roadrunner
10.) 74 Falcon GT coupe (Mad Max)
oh and the wife might want one.....
The thought of winning the lotto doesn't have me running out an buying a bunch of cars, it's got me doing stuff to the ones I already have.
Cobra gets an Agent 47 SLA front suspension, and Griggs everything else; highway geared T56, 4.10s, and decent seats
5.0 gets cleaned up, new convertible top, maybe build a 347 for it.
Camry gets sent down to Performance Options for a 3S-GTE swap. Turbo AWD sleeper ftw!
Celica gets a 3S-GE swap. Nothing extreme, just the motor from the 4th-gen GT-S.
Bronco gets supercharged and corresponding supporting mods.
EDIT: No matter what I seem to do, this forum software seems to eat my formatting, so screw it.
This week's list:
1) Pre-A 356 project...outlaw
2) 325 ix
3)Dodge Omni GLH
4)'66 mustang convertible project that I found today.
5) '70 Bronco half-cab that has been for sale for at least a year...and the price has been lowered.

Cars I've owned and I'd buy back:
84 Rabbit GTI,
84 RX-7 GSL-SE,
73 BMW 2002tii,
90 Miata
Cars I could have bought stupid-cheap, and have kicked myself for not buying ever since:
75 Audi Fox Special Edition,
Various Mk1 VW Sciroccos,
Volvo 164E with a 4 speed manual,
Peugeot 505 Wagon with 5 speed manual,
72 BMW Bavaria

Cheap cars I'm thinking of buying once my current Peugeot sells, (pending availability):
'68 Peugeot 404 rally car. Looks beat to hell, but the body is solid, and it's full of trick parts. Hydraulic handbrake, gas shocks, sway bars, driving lights etc.
'78 Mk1 Golf/Rabbit GLS with 1.8 16V and 5 speed swap. Really neat conversion, and in my favourite Mk1 Golf color, too, (that unmistakably '70s yellowy-orange.)
Or, a Spridget.
And on the lottery wish list:
- Early 911
- Lotus Elan Sprint
- "Ken & Mary" Skyline like the one on BaT at the moment
- Step-nose Alfa coupe
- Mk 1 Lotus Cortina
Rolls Royce Drophead coupe.
Ok, i know, i know. Its gaudy, tacky, over the top and not grassroots at all but i really really NEED, i mean want, one.
Oh, and a couple Astons, AMG's, and an Ariel Atom 500 to fill out the garage
My current list:
Another Alfa Milano (other than being kinda beat up, there isnt anything wrong with that one that i have, but I want a silver version, the rare base model one from the first year).
Maserati Biturbo (I actually might be able to get a really ratty one for like $200, id see if i could get it running, but if nothing else it would be a good parts car).
Alfa Berlina (the early 70s one).
Since 4 italian cars at a time would be more than enough, id need a normal car too:
Subaru impreza (probably the bugeye body style) with DMS coilovers and rally lights. Probably an outback or 2.5 rs, i wouldnt really care if it had alot of power.

I'm with you on the A1 Scirocco. Tough to find one now that's not a rustbucket.
I had a 3ltr Bavaria in college (early 1980s). Only reason I let it go was because I hit a bump one night, and the RF shock tower let go. I sold it as a parts car to the local (Starkville MS) BMW guru, he had a reallly swank 3.0s.
buy back dads 68 mustang that my uncle sold
