Need quickie hazed headlight lens suggestions...

Here's the procedure I used on the GTO, which had really badly hazed headlights and driving lights:

1. Wet-sand with 1000 then 2000 grit sandpaper.
2. Machine polish with 3 grades of polishing compound, going from heavy to light cut.
3. Spray with a light coat of clear.

Here's a shot of one driving light done and the other not done to show the results:

My quickie clean up is clearcoat polish. I do this on customers cars all the time. Not sure if they notice and/or appreciate it, but it makes my OCD happy. This is just about 10-20 seconds per headlight with a red rag and polish.

In reply to The Hoff: That driver side is about what mine look like at the moment. Which specific polish are you using? If it doesn't leave a film behind, I wonder if shooting it with the UV acrylic clear after the rub down would make double sparkly?

At my shop I use ZEP KA-3 polish. It's a 15-20 year old gallon jug, so not sure if it exists anymore. But I use Meguiers polish/swirl remover at home with the same results.
