I'll be travelling alone from Orlando Florida to Tallamdge, Ohio this coming weekend in a car I will be purchasing in Orlando. I'll be travelling up Rt 4 to Daytona, then I-95 through Savannah, and I-26 up to Columbia,SC. There I'll hit I-77 and go through Charlotte,NC. I'll be staying over night with a friend near Charlotte, and on Sunday taking off again on I-77 through Charleston, WV before heading up through Chillicothe (edit - Marietta, not chillicothe), Cambridge, and Canton Ohio. I'd appreciate contact info for anyone along my route that can lend a hand in the event of a breakdown. Thanks in advance, guys.
Please stop in when you pass through Daytona. Hopefully you'll still be in the "everything is wonderful, I love my new car!" kinda mood.
If not, you can still call.
I can call anytime.
It'll be Saturday morning when I go through Daytona. Will anyone be there?
I don't know how far away from Orlando you live, but I'll have some free time Friday evening also. I'm staying at a hotel near the airport.

I am in Combridge Ohio. I will be out this weekend but return on Sunday. Let me know if there is anything I can do.
What would be great is if you could just give me your phone number so I can call if something goes wrong while in your general area.
77 through VA and WV is beautiful! Try to make that part of the drive during the day, so you can enjoy the scenery. It's not nearly as spectacular at night.
I travel that road a few times a year, and agree it's a nice drive. I'll be doing it mid-day on Sunday, so hopefully the weather will be good!
Making the pilgrimage to Summit Racing, eh?

it would be much easier to hit the one in the Atlanta area...plus, then I could go with you!

Sort of. I'm going home. I live just down the road from Summit Racing.
I have some good friends in Tallmadge. If you've seen an Opel GT driving around, it was one of them. They have a dozen or so.
Watch out crossing the border into Ohio. I've been stopped there for random BS by Ohio's finest several times. Last time it was "Sir, we've had an anonymous tip about a white truck pulling an old car full of drugs on a trailer. Would you mind if we tore everything out of the back of the truck and spread it out all over the ditch in this nice sleet storm so we could have the drug dog pretend to hit on something and then call 7 more troopers in to look around, scratch themselves, then leave with all your antique car interior parts spread out in the grass and snow?"
Ohio's finest.
Okay guys, I need some people farther south that would be willing to help out if needed. I really don't think I'll need it, as the car is in good shape, but just in case. Please???
Come on guys! Is it my breath?
If you find yourself in Utah I can help you out :)
I'm in Sutton, WV (Very center of the state) I get off work around 3 so If you need anything at all, let me know. I'll PM you my number.
Asheville NC is parallel to your rhoute but not on your rhoute so I guess I can only lend moral support, but if you really want shoot me an IM I should be around this weekend.
I'm in Gainesville, FL right off of I75. If for some reason I can help, let me know now in this thread so I can send you my info (board PM doesn't want to update to my new email"
Thanks to everyone that has offered help, even the guys that can't. I'm covered in FL, WV, NC, and mid-Ohio. What I need is support in Georgia, South Carolina, and Virginia. Anybody?
YES! I bought the car and drove it 1000 miles back to Ohio! Everything went well. More details and pics later...
In reply to bravenrace:
Good to hear that it all went down without too much trouble. Sorry I missed seeing you while you were here!
