Hey all y'all in the Cleveburg to Akron to Wooster to Mansfield to Sandusky area. Needing info/personal experience on a location that can handle a TOD title and is open to the public. Selling my father's 1963 P1800 , my little sister is the beneficiary listed and would be nice to get this taken care of ASAP. Yes Cleveburg.....I was born there. Thanks.......
Ohio has two separate things.
County Title Office for getting titles in your name and paying sales tax if needed.
BMV for getting plates and drivers licenses

To my knowledge all of the locations are open and functioning normally these days. No specific knowledge on the title, but I'd think any of the offices would be equally capable of handling it, or could point you in the right direction if there is some special service needed.

TOD =Time of Death..... so it appears the county title office is the place and call first for hours of operation. Thanks you two I'll let my sister know. Curious, these two establishments are usually in separate locations?
Most of the time the larger main branches are next to each other or close at least here in Columbus.
Not all BMVs have a title bureau nearby but I think every title bureau has a BMV next door or across the street.
I like to go to the one in North Olmsted, which is usually really busy, but the county clerk and the registrar work there. And there is a little restaurant in that plaza that has some good falafel.
The one in medina is open

I don't believe you. Or everybody you know is from out of state.
In reply to Cactus :
It's true. Department of motor vehicles. Maybe it's a SW ohio thing. Once you get north of Dayton or east of Mt Orab it's like a whole different state anyway. But if you asked anyone where I'm from where the BMV was they'd look at you like you were speaking Greek.

There's a joke in here about illiteracy that I don't feel shiny or happy enough to make.

I've lived in Dayton for 30 something years now and the only times I've heard DMV was from somebody from out of state. Maybe everybody you talk to is secretly from Kentucky and doesn't want you to know?
I wish Dayton was more like Cinci. I can't get the good brand of goetta here.
Okay, this has to be some kind of Mandela effect or something. I can't explain this. Maybe I've finally lost that very fragile thread that was the only thing left holding me to reality and am now slowly fading away into madness.
