So, the pile i picked up came (supposedly) with all the needed parts to do the 2.4 stratus engine swap.

Engine is a 97 stratus with srt4 oiling system and dohc neon head.

Its stripped to a longblock.

All the assortwd parts were tossed in buckets and floorpans.

Ive had a week of cleaning and semi organizing now....

I cant seem to find good, accurate pictures of the accessory brackets.  I want to keep ac, alternator, and power steering.  I know which bracket is the stratus side motor mount aluminium piece, but need some clear pictures of the rest.

Part numbers are proving difficult to find on the parts themselves.

Additionally, it seems that all the write ups on the neon forums are wrong in some way. But i know we have guys here who have done this swap (possibly more than once) and i trust us for correct information.

I have, but it was... at least 15 years ago.  I will dredge through old files and see what I can pull together.

I did keep AC, alternator, PS, and cruise.  It was even on an ATX car.

Fair warning:  I may not have anything at all.  But if I do, it's yours.

I had a 2.4 swap Neon, briefly. Here's my advice:

Don't use duct tape to fix busted engine mounts. When you remove nuts and bolts, put them back on. Disconnect wires when removing them rather than just cutting them and tying them back together.

Do those things and I'm sure your car will turn out great.

I still can't believe I was dumb enough to buy that disaster, but at least I learned from it. If done right it would be a lot of fun to drive. Best of luck to you.

If your a Facebook person the neon nerds on neons.org Facebook page should be able to get you what you need.

The really long swap guide on neons.org seems accurate, but last time I looked, there weren’t pictures.  I’ll dig through my swap pics and if I find anything that’ll help, I’ll post it.

2.0 DOHC stuff, on a PT bracket is how I normally do it.

There isn't just one way or a right way to do it.

Depends on what you have to start with and how you want to do it.

I used the 2.4 accys because the 2.0 PS pump location sucks, I could not keep fluid in it. Doing laps with a steering quickener and no power assist was not fun.

Really? Which pt brackets?

I read somewhere that the 03 pt cruiser alt/ac/tensioner/ps pump setup with the pt cruise balancer was a bolt on serpentine swap. But no pictures. Or real explanations.

I remember having to do some serious surgery on the alternator bracket to get it to co-habitate with the Neon Intake.

I also remember that the factory motor mounts will allow the motor to move so far that the power steering pump pulley hit the frame under high G left turns. I had to install an adjustable restraint to maintain PS function.

I was using cloud car accys. Not sure how they differ from PT stuff.

I haven't found my notes yet, but here's a link with some part numbers at the bottom:
