We took a trip to our local junkyard and got new interior bits for the Neon. About $50 got us a new dash, door panels and console pieces to replace the parts that the car came with. They had been painted several times by previous owners--Neons and spray paint just seem to go together.

I am so cranked about this project!
I bought my 96 DOHC ACR (black, of course) new and have been tweaking it ever since the warranty ran out. It's currently down for The Big One: upgrade to 2.4 with SRT-4 internals, Hahn Racecraft turbo kit and a few other goodies.
But maybe the coolest thing about the car is being able to tell people with a straight face, "Well, they brought out the ACR in '95, but '96 was the first year you could buy one without a competition license."
