considering a neon for rally x.. is it wise to want to raise the car? leave it at stock ride hieght? if raising it is the ultimate answer are there springs out there to get a lil lift? short of using coilovers?

thanks

For rallyx leave it be. Get some snow tires and have a blast.

If you want to raise it, if you're talking 1st gen Neon, I believe you can use springs from the heavier second generation Neon to get a little lift.

I recently replaced my stock '94 Protege springs with junk yard coils from a 2002 regular Escort for rallycross. It made a huge difference! Wayyyy better! I gained a tiny about of ground clearance (about an inch) and got a tiny bump in spring rate too. There is a lot of opinions out there for rallycross set up, stock v. raised, softer v. firmer, etc. No one answer is "right" I think. It's all going to depend on your region and your driving style and preference. Different cars are going to want different set ups as well.

Parker's suggestion is a good one, rock it stock. Makes changes later if you need to, but not before you get a car.
