What reasonable car has never been entered into the challenge? Something available in the USA and made in the last 45ish years, so 1970 on. Reasonable as in affordable for challenge money, and not a huge MACK truck or fire truck, etc.
Anyone ever built a fiat x1/9?
The answer used to include Infiniti, Lexus, Lincoln.
More than just chassis, those brands had never been in The Challenge until recent.
2015 also included the first V12 ever entered in the '90 BMW 750iL.
Biturbo is what everyone wants to see!
I know the TR7/8 has been done. Mercury Zephyr?
There were two Buick Roadmaster wagons planned for 2015 but neither made it.
I don't think there has ever been a Buick.
A Buick Reatta with a 3800SC would be nice!
For 2015 there was a Jaguar X-type planned that did not make it.
I don't think there has ever been a Jag.
As for X1/9, I can not confirm or deny but I seem to sense that there was once in the early years running a Dodge turbo engine.
Ford Cortina
Austin Mini
Austin America
Opel Kadett
Boxster???
Hillman Imp
Merkur Scorpio
Capri XR2?
Alfa 164
MAzda 626
Ford Escape - Great cheap AWD Chassis and 3.0L V6...Remember the Cherokee!!!!
Pretty sure my Maxima was the first one ever. I'm sure there are tons of generic sedans and such that have never been there. It'd be cool if we had a link on the forum for all past challenges and the results.
Oh, and +1 for a Biturbo.
Free Opel Kadett to anyone serious about entering it!

First year of the Challenge ($1500 limit). Nearly won it, lost to a Cosworth Vega powered MG driven by an absolute clown.
Was there ever a Corvair? I don't recall.
Yup. AngryCorvair brought a V8 swapped one I believe.
There's been a V8 swapped Zamboni too.
