Alright, it's the new Buick Regal, and it's this week's new car review. I didn't get to try it personally, but I think it's interesting to look at. I'm shocked that it's available with a good old fashioned clutch pedal.
What do you think?

Ive voiced a few times in the past how excited I am to see GM embracing a hipo attitude that doesnt include ZOMFGCORVETTEFANBOI. I am also glad to see forced induction popping up all over the generals lineup. well done detroit!
But with regards to the review, why no staff comments? Who drove it? Anyone toss it about in anger? Inquiring minds want to know!

I think its for the first year of production only.

I didn't drive it; the folks who did seemed fond enough that they didn't want to share.
Look for comments from the offending staff members soon.

Damn! I was in the middle of putting my curry on craigslist....

For those of us that never buy new, that's an advantage.
I'd be buying one if it came in something besides wrong wheel drive. Great exterior, great powertrain, great interior, just has the drive wheels mixed up!

You're right, the titled is botched...it's a four banger. Funny thing is, people will cry foul and say this Buick turbo has nothing on the old Grand National, but really this turbo 4 + 6 speed manual puts more power/torque to the wheels than the original Grand National turbo V6. With the GMPP tune that comes on this same powertrain for the Cobalt SS, this car would actually as much power/torque as the old GNX was rated at...just goes to the wrong wheels.

When I first read about this car I could have sworn it was going to be an AWD turbo 4 w/ 6speed manual. I was wrong. Really nice styling. So unfortunate that it's FWD.

Recently Bill Ford Jr said something about there being an Ecoboost Mustang but he didn't specify if it was the 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder Ecoboost.

That was supposed to be the Regal Turbo GS (otherwise known as the VXR in Europe).
Looks really, really tall. That rear quarter panel shot looks like there is an acre of sheet metal over the rear tires. Hopefully, it isn’t as big of a boat as it looks. The front end is kinda nice.
I saw the Regal in person a few weeks back, and I really wanted to like it. Despite having all the right bits, it just looks so... boring. Well, it looks like a Buick.
No GMs for me until they stop putting those God-awful blue fluorescent displays anywhere in the interior. I do like the exterior look and the interior looks the business other than the aforementioned blue crap. It'll be interesting to see how badly resale suffers for those of us who like to buy used.
