Is there anything particularly different about that picture with an error?
It was sent to me in text. Let me get my phone and try another picture. I won't use any from Angry as those aren't for public use.
Nope not the text thing. Maybe that one picture is now on the bad list?
In reply to Stampie :
Possibly. The only other thing I can think of it's in a file format not accepted by the forum.
Otherwise, maybe *crosses fingers* we have the photo issues resolved - except for that one offending photo.
Firefox Version 130.0.1 (64-bit) currently up to date.
The other browser is just Safari on my Iphone.
I was able to upload png files no problem but jpeg are still giving the same issue. With jpeg it races through the percentage upload and then shows the red x box. When I uploaded the png files it takes the normal rate of time during the percentage window and populates like it should. Sounds like it's isolated to one file type?

Strange for me the ones that work and don't work are both .jpg
In reply to Stampie :
Yeah I should have clarified they were .jpg as well. It seems like if it's an iphone .jpg it's no bueno?
In reply to captainawesome :
You might be right. Both of the ones I have issue with I know were taken by an iPhone. One of the working ones I know was Andriod. The other that worked I'm checking now to see.
EDIT - One that did work was a screen shot from an iPhone. I believe that fits your MO?
Double EDIT - The one I was checking on that worked is iPhone but iOS 18.
Triple EDIT - Tried another text picture from iOS 17.7 was no go.
Quadruple EDIT - The original two I couldn't post were sent from an iOS 17.6.1 phone.
Test. This an iPhone picture I couldn't post before but mildly modified in MS Paint and saved.
Hmmm think that proves it's an iPhone thing.
Stampie - I tried your photos and they uploaded fine for me. That was using Microsoft Edge.
The only quirk I have found so far is with .heic files, which iPhones frequently use. If you try to upload one of those, it will not work.
Now I can't type a message or post through Safari. I just get the box below worth nowhere to type or buttons to click.
But if I'm logged through Gmail with the link you receive for notifications I can upload pics from my phone or post just fine.

Are you still having issues with the comment box not appearing in Safari? Yes, the comment box overall is doing weird things. Will be working to getting that fixed.
In reply to J.A. Ackley :
Yeah, nowhere to type and the box on PC is super small. Like less than a quarter of it's usual size.
Wild guess. Are you guys using JPG as your iPhone image format or HEIC?
Edit: I see JAA asked the same above.
In reply to J.A. Ackley :
I also had that problem for a time yesterday (not able to comment from an iPhone using Safari), but it seemed to resolve itself...

Woohoo. Making progress. There are some little style quirks we've noticed, too - like the fonts in a reply not matching what's typically used, but we're getting there. Thank you everyone for the feedback!
In reply to J.A. Ackley :
Dialogue box on Iphone Safari still impossible for me to type or use but it is working in Firefox browser.

I have to ask, did you clear your cache on Safari?
In reply to J.A. Ackley :
That fixed the comment box but still can't upload a photo taken with my iPhone without modifying it through Safari.

Awesome. Making progress. Do you know if the photo is an HEIC file?
You'll need to log in to post.
