FCA and PSA have agreed to merge and form a new company
There can be no fail in this.
Monster trucks, Italian artists, and French designers; not sure what you get out of that combo.

Ok. Im not crazy. I had the same thoughts....
Get something like the lm002 but not nearly as reliable...
Isn't this he the bituebo came into existence?
Or, will we at something closer to the dodge omni?
Really? We just got done with 2020 and the new year starts with a hellspawn like Chrysler build quality mixed with French engineering...
Stop the planet, I want to get off.
You forgot the name!
Stellantis
It sounds more like a drug I would use to keep my ph levels under control if I was afflicted by a very specific variant of irritable bowel syndrome combined with male menopause or something. Ask your doctor about Stellantis today!
Chrysler the car company is basically somnolent. They sell their minivan and the 300, which was basically introduced in 2005. Will they survive?
And they are a Dutch company. Who would have ever thought the 4th largest auto manufacture would be Dutch?

Nope. The Bitrouble was from when Maserati was independant. Between the Citroen and Fiat ownership. DeTomaso had bought the marque.
Remember back in the 1950s when Studebaker merged with Packard and that company tried to merge unsuccessfully with the Nash/Hudson Company that later became American Motors. How many of those nameplates still exist?
The only surviving part of American Motors that was absorbed by Chrysler was Jeep which is now part of this new clusterberk.
History repeats itself.
Ah yes. Stellantis. The American Motors of the Future.
In ten years, every single one of those nameplates will die, except for Jeep, and Elon Musk will probably buy that just to get the name.

The lawyers and accountants put them there for some reason only an MBA specializing in International Commerce and Taxation could understand.

Peugeot/Citroen bought out Vauxhall and Opel because.......well because nobody else would.
They also bought Hindustan Motors from India because they needed the Hindustan Ambassador to add yet another really weird car to the mix. The Hindustan Ambassador is basically an updated Morris Oxford that is still being manufactured in India. Yeah. They got the old plans from Morris that got bought out by BMC that got bought out by British Leyland that got bought out by the Rover Group that sold the name "Morris" to Nanjing Automobile Group of China that somehow belongs with all these other unwanted orphan marques for ....... who knows what reason.
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro, and get into the automotive mergers and acquisitions business.
Welcome to six months ago... shareholders did vote on the merger yesterday, but plans for the merger were announced some time back.

GM Europe was part of PSA I believe. They got out of it.

Oh for sure. I totally get that. Just sayin.. what was the last Dutch auto manufacturer? Spyker?
A friend has a '37 Chevy panel wagon and painted on each side is a graveyard scene with headstones for all of the now gone marques of American cars.

Pretty sure we talked about it then, too. But I can't find the thread.

Don't forget the whole mess was also called Cerberus at one time in the past. Another drug sounding name. Presumably for ED. It didn't work either.
