Don't forget the whole mess was also called Cerberus at one time in the past. Another drug sounding name. Presumably for ED. It didn't work either.
Cerberus had a more sinister meaning that was probably appropriate for that previous rendition...
In Greek mythology, Cerberus, often referred to as the hound of Hades, is a multi-headed dog that guards the gates of the Underworld to prevent the dead from leaving. He was the offspring of the monsters Echidna and Typhon, and was usually described as having three heads, a serpent for a tail, and snakes protruding from multiple parts of his body.
This may or may not succeed in Europe.
It will spectacularly fail in the US.

Technically, Cerberus was the name of the capital management firm that bought Chrysler from Daimler, it wasn't the name of the whole company.

And they are a Dutch company. Who would have ever thought the 4th largest auto manufacture would be Dutch?
The lawyers and accountants put them there for some reason only an MBA specializing in International Commerce and Taxation could understand.
I wonder if it has more to do with competing with VW on electric vehicle solutions. Lots of expertise on electric motor drive and control in the Netherlands.

Depends on what their goals are.
If all they want to do is milk the heck out of the Jeep brand, they will probably do really well. Beyond that, well....
Seeing the actual effort to sell Fiats and Alfas, yea, whatever they try to introduce will likely do nothing. I'm confident that whatever they have figured out what caused Fiat and Alfa to fall will be lost, multiple times.

Wait. Vauxhall and opel are/were gm labels. So...?
GM Europe was part of PSA I believe. They got out of it.
Not really - GM Europe sold Opel/Vaushall to PSA for financial reasons, ie GM seems to have had problems making money in Europe for a while.

That's what some of the European media are saying. FCA is well behind the curve on electrification, with PSA being well ahead of them and a lot of other big European car manufacturers.
Other interesting trivia: In the early '80s, Chrysler sold its European assets to Peugeot.
Wonder what a new Stellantis will look like. Sedan, coupe, suv.
The real question here is what kind of crazy swaps will now be possible in classes that allow updates / backdates / etc? Hellcat Le Car?
