Any Michigan peeps looking into Heritage Farms Car Condos and Motorplex? Saw the article when I was reading the News Herald online. I grew up Downriver and check it out sometimes to see whats going on.
Seems like it would be cool if it actually happens.

Interesting. I had not heard.
Looks like the planned location is one exit South of DTW Airport off I-275
I've been seeing Heritage Farm proposals for a few years now. Until it's under construction I'd be skeptical. These things take time to get subscribers and permission from authorities. The M1 Concourse was the same way, but it eventually did get built, so I wouldn't bet against Heritage Farm happening either.
That's a new one on me! A neat idea though. Well out of my price range for a condo, but could be a fun resource without having to goto western MI.
If that's the one out near Metro Airport I've been hearing about it since the 90s.

When I first got that e-mail, I made some suggestions to their goals.
Then I read it again, and it was a "someone should do this" e-mail.
This seems as if they have gotten a little farther.
Can you ever have too many track options? I live between Grattan and Gingerman and use both regularly. My daughter lives in Detroit so it may be just another good reason for a visit.
Waterford Hills, Grattan, and Gingerman are the only three permanent road RACE courses in MI right now. M1 does not allow racing and is a private test course that will have non timed events (except maybe autocrosses). If Heritage goes in it is planning on being a racetrack and car condo complex similar to Autobahn but with more emphasis on the car condo side. I think its pretty cool that all of this is going on now but hope the market doesn't get saturated.
In reply to PMRacing:
I'm not that worried about market saturation. What I would be more worried about is Waterford going away.
They have so many restrictions on events there, it's tough to deal with on a highly regular basis. So if another track without those restrictions popped up in Metro Detroit, well, Oakland Hills Country Club may have a real problem on their hands.
(not that it matters much to me, anymore, getting out of the racing stuff)
