A couple years ago, my dealership had four brand new C7s that we let go for $52k. Sell below a certain amount and GM only sends 'Vettes if you order them, but then if you move so many of them GM starts just sending them to you. Well, the C7 Z06 had just come out and we had a couple well-heeled customers that ordered some, and then we got one for inventory that some guy in South Carolina bought sight unseen, so we ordered another one, and the next thing we knew, we crossed that threshold and GM just started dumping C7s on us. We're a fairly small dealership in a fairly economically-depressed area, so we ended up with four C7s, including two Z51s, that we just could not move because the area was pretty much saturated. Eventually the sales manager hacked the price down to $52k just to try and get rid of the things.
