Sorry, unlike the Aztec, the Juke is a 1.6L turbo awd 6 speed manual BEAST. And the styling is much better than an Aztec. No crap here boss, high fives all around for being innovative

uhh have you driven one...it is NOT a beast.

Same union workers, same middle management and THE SAME EXECUTIVES! The only barely tolerable domestic make is Ford. At least they didn't take the handout and screw the tax paying public. Oh, and they're honoring all their recalls and "defects" from prior years. GM & Chrysler can kiss it. P.S. In case you think I'm a Ford acolyte check my garage, I am NOT a Ford fanboi.
so you like Datsuns-I mean Nissans. Christ, they wouldn't even exist either if they hadn't been bailed out by the French. Speaking of crap-seen a Juke,a Cube or the Murano vert? I'm sure glad the designers of the Aztek found work after the Pontiac gem.

I like the Juke but I will agree on the two cars.

I have never driven any post-bankruptcy GMs but I can say they are doing better then most car companies in that I actually want to drive two of their cars, the Corvette and CTS-V.

No proper drainage, oil goes everywhere, you have to remove it topside but then get under the car to clean up the mess it leaves, unless you are one of the smart ones that managed to come up with a contraption made out of water bottles and old oil bottles to make a mouse trap to properly drain the old oil. If you can't tell I have a lot of angst from my last outing of employment with the General.

So GM is the only car company that has put an oil filter in an inconvenient location? Anyone have the old "omg what a E36 M3 repair job" thread handy? Seems like that covered about all manufacturers including Honda. Speaking of Honda.....I used to hate changing the oil on my GFs old accord. Another one of those cars with an inconvenient oil filter.

Thanks Cotton, this is my point exactly...My beloved SR20motor is the same way, gotta bend a few AC lines out of the way to get the filter out with 2 fingers as it drains open side down all over your block. My OMFGIMPORTED Infiniti G20 has the amazingly not-at-all sporty rear beam axle and the double-sided-tape-affixed side skirts that are falling off. The caps for EVERYTHING are plastic and cracking, and the LEDs in my dash are starting to die, so i have to fix the light behind the radio separately from the light behind the HVAC buttons etc etc...the fact is unless YOU design the car, there will always be stuff you wouldnt do. But seriously, EVERYONE knows GM had a bad run. It was called the last 3 decades. WE ALL KNOW IT. Constantly griping about is really starting to get oooooold.

Do you have any OTHER criteria, like real performance related things, about GM that are similarly satan-induced, besides a freaking oil filter? My GMC Terrain (i.e. Chebby Travers) is FRIGGIN AWESOME. The 2007 Saturn Ion we had up till about 2 years ago WAS FRIGGIN AWESOME (well, from a DD perspective, it wasnt terribly inspiring in a sporty way...). I am soooooo looking forward to the Regal GS, and I also am hoping they come out with a Cruze SS and a GTP-esque version of the possibly-going-to-be-released Holden based new Caprice. GM is offering fun cars, built well, that compete on a world stage. They still have ground to make up, but they are quickly making that up and more in comparison to the now stale Toyota and Nissan.

What does Toyota have that youd consider buying new (FT86? whenever they finally decide to grace us with its presence) What does Infiniti have (that isnt a bazillion bucks)? Nissan (370Z? not practical for DD - not really anything else even remotely sports minded). Honda (S2k - same thing too impractical). What can you say right now youd be interested in buying thats infinitely more sophisticated from an engineering standpoint that it blows GM out of the water, but has a comparable (from utility and pricing standpoint) model to something the general offers? Im seriously interested to hear it.
