Wish I had access to a city, a couple hundred go-pros, and a 500,000xx rally car... And a flat brimmed hat of course.
I have enjoyed the previous ones a bit, and this one is Awesome!!! Lots of Bullitt shots that outdid Bullitt (unlike the remake a year ago or whatever). This one is more obviously theater which is more honest and therefore better.

Sperlo... is that a tinge of green you're showing?

I'm guessing less than what they intend to make back in additional shoe sales.
Most big cities are surprisingly easy to work with as far as getting film permits (since they do it all the time). I think the actual permit to film in NYC is only something like $300. Of course, the cost of cops, traffic controls, etc. is additional.
My guess is they shot over a few days and only closed down a block or two at a time—basically a rolling closure from each in cut to each out cut. That's where a good location scout and location manager earns their keep.

Shhhh. You're not supposed to pay attention to that. Don't mind the man behind the curtan..

And who would you go to to get permission to do that?
If he doesn't wake up every morning and pinch himself to see if he's dreaming, then he ought to. If there is anyone here that wouldn't give there left kidney to be able to do that and earn the right to call it a job.....they are a liar. I don't care that it was done in multiple takes. If I were him, I do as many takes as they'd let me get away with. I care not if the trolley was a train or a bus.
And where ever that finish line was, needs to have a hill climb.
All of the stuff looks like it is early morning. I can't imagine you can shut the bridge down for very long.

Ken Block, now with 137.2% more air time.
Honestly? Wasn't much impressed with the third gymkhana vid. Or was it the fourth? Either way, this one definitely builds on the awesome. Doing what everyone wants to do in San Fran: Jump the hell out of the roads!
No Taco Truck Scene? No gay pride scene? No Fisherman's Wharf Scene? Are we sure it was shot in San Fran?!?
I'm pretty sure that driving suit could qualify for the gay pride parade
pretty awesome vid, but I still can't get over how gross that car sounds. I far preferred the subie in terms of awesome noise.
I'm wondering what his clutch/tire ratio is with his driving. I have a feeling his team is swapping clutches with about every 3rd or 4th set of tires.
I loved the jump with the sideways/backwards landing. That first downhill jump looked like it buckled the front of the car.
they make it look like a continuous run, but from what I've seen from the previous ones, each scene is pretty much its own big production with dozens of attempts to get it right, several damaged cars and tossed barriers, etc. Some guy went back on one of them and did a bunch of freeze-frames and somehow determined that they used at least 5 different cars for the shoot.
doesn't make it any cooler though. Dukes of Hazzard did it that way, haha.....I liked the sideways jump/landing too, that was awesome.
I know that he's not one of the best rally drivers, but Ken Block has to be one of the most entertaining drivers to watch!

Actually, I'd run a real race team (rally, sports cars, not sure which) and would work my ass off to be competitive. No, let me take that back, I'm probably to old to be fast enough. I'd start a team and find some really talented young drivers who need a break. Yeah, that's what I'd do.

Not this time... unless you have a couple of 1/2 million dollar race cars lying around. One car, used in 4 different styles of events for this whole season. I guess they could have a spare, but I'd honestly be a bit surprised.
It's one thing to have a couple of stock appearing stunt cars on a movie set, a completely different thing to have a couple of full on race cars.

the guy made his money making dorky looking shoes and hats, and uses a fast car to get impressionable kids to buy those dorky looking hats and shoes to pay for him to make more cool videos like this...
i wonder what Toyota thinks about Pastrana appearing in a video that was heavily subsidized by Ford that makes a Ford product look cool? he is, after all, the co-owner of a Toyota team in the NASCAR Nationwide series..
