I have to admit, I kinda enjoyed seeing Sebastian Loeb beat him at the X Games. Guess it's the flat brim hat thing. I'm not young enough to be in Block's camp on that one. But I did enjoy the heck out of that video. Very cool. My favorite of the bunch for sure.

I thought it was pretty much the same old tricks from the other 6 videos with a few slow motion jumps thrown in. Ugly shoes to boot.
The only entertaining part for me was seeing San Fran without any people or traffic visible.
I do applaud the man for making a fortune and spending it in a fun way. He may not be Sebastian Loeb, but he is a far better driver than I will ever be.

I give Block huge props as he is doing a lot to bring spotlight onto rally in the US
Just looks fun, and he does an amazing job making it look easy. It's not going to sell me any flat bills but it is entertaining.

I'm a bit of a closet Ken Block fan, but honestly, this one doesn't do as much for me.
The tighter courses somehow impress me a bit more.
Still good stuff, but not what he does best, IMHO.
He's quite a performer.
I likeded it.
And these videos probably add a whole hell of a lot of new customers, which pays for him to race and get better at it, which, as I understand, is his goal.
His goal is not to sell kids ugly ass hats and shoes, but to race rally. and bastardized "rally cross"
which is what he's been doing.
(said to the person who said they would use the money to race and work on being competitive. isn't that what he's doing? He has to maintain a large public image, I would think, in order to continue to get ford and monster to pay for everything. He has to make them a large amount of money for them to pay him a large amount of money and to pay out a large amount of money for him to be able to race? If he stopped making these videos altogether, stopped "showing off", he'd probably get kicked to the curb and they'd either find a euro driver to fill his shoes or pull the rally program back a little bit)
sorry if that doesn't make sense, I just drove 6 hours home from the beach. lol
I don't really like K.B. much, but his videos are entertaining enough.
To be honest, if I had his money I would be doing the same thingswith one exception, I wouldn't try to trademark the word gymkana and sue others for using it!What a tool.

does it matter? He is the face of DC and owner too right? What DC does represents him and vice/versa.

I believe he sold the company to someone else and stayed on as something less important.
regardless, they're owned by quiksilver now I believe.
If you've been in the skateboarding industry long you notice that these companies (esp DC and Etnies) are ran by douchers but actually publicly represented in most lights by decent people.
Have you seen this one?

I liked it.
The finish line is on Twin Peaks, I think. And how the heck did he get them to shut down the Bay Bridge?
Block used to bug me. But now I realize that he's making rally cool and bringing it to more people's attention. And that's good. He also seems to realize that he's not in the same league as the big boys in the WRC, and sets himself realistic goals. Last rally, he was hoping for top 10. And I think he got 9th, so mission accomplished.
I did enjoy this pair of stories on WRC.com, though.
Block: Loeb’s X Games debut won’t be easy
Loeb wins the X Games by a 13 second margin
Loeb doesn't just rally. He's also finished second at Le Mans

The bridge was closed Memorial Day weekend to do to some major construction work on the east span. They filmed on the west span. It must been done then.
The section with the "Cable cars" is a block from my office. Sunday morning is the only time I can think of when it would be empty enough to get the shots they did.
