second truck being built local dealership $55 k or so
Its a kit you can buy for the 4 door wrangler, $5500 for the kit.
I saw one a few weeks ago on the road. Even if they dont appear to be very practical they are pretty cool.
There was a forward cab tribute at one of the shows I went to this spring, it would be awesome to have a modern forward cab.
You know what I don't like about Jeeps is that they all look alike. Please update it & change the look.
But I believe there's a market for the truck pictured. It could be very useful.

That's what I like about Jeeps. They look good, no reason to change them any more than they already have.

This. Don't change the look.

I like the fact that you can see the lineage from the WWII Jeeps. Change the look and they are just another new SUV.

Supposedly that can never happen due to crash regs

I really hope I can find one of those in decent shape in about a month when I start shopping.
I likes me the old ones:
Can you toss the old body on a newer chasis? These are all body-on-frame, right?

Fail.

I guess the one I saw was an actual jeep concept called the j-12; oh and I fail in the trying to remember what everything is called since they are called forward control.
Back when Chrysler bought Jeep from AMC, they were building some tough trucks. Chrysler said no competition to Dodge, so no Jeep trucks. Maybe things have changed.

It's a J-12 as I posted above, on my phone so I couldn't link the pic. Looks awesome in person and there were some cool action pics in mopar magazine last month.

Do want!
There's one of these local to me that I've been hemming and hawing over checking out, but it sounds pretty rough and the guy wants almost $3,000 for it. Still, in my mind these are about the toughest-looking trucks on the planet. The Dauntless V8 ain't bad either.
Unfortunately that's not a concept. That's a kit that Mopar sells. Jeep is afraid to build an actual truck, so they make the kit to turn a Wrangler into one.
