I can't stand the new Altima. I think it is atrocious looking. It is pretty darn close to a real-life Homer car (excluding the excellent LeMons replica, of course). It's like they took cues from every car in the segment and blended them together, with a dash of extreme derp. The front fender profile, for example, looks like a melted Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man that consumed an Anaconda. It's like the thing has curves and strange angles just for the sake of confusing your eyes and making you want to vomit. Brown ones look like rolling piles of soft poo. Gross. And don't get me started about that stupid CVT....
But this Sentra.... After thinking it over, I must say that I really like it. It is similar to the Altima in some of it's styling, but toned down. And this toning down lends itself well to the aggressive look of the Nismo concept. If they did this to the Altima, I'm pretty sure it would cause random seizures.
If I'm reading the specs right, it's 2700 lbs and has 240hp/tq. That's enough to have a good time on my daily commute. If it's priced competitively (low 20's), I can see myself driving one. And that interior... looks great!
BUILD IT NOW!!!
Nissan will mess it up. I have faith. Nuff' said.
Wow, yee of little faith. I still love my Sentra, and I hope fervently that the Nismo Sentra appears in showrooms just as it did on the show floor.

Well we know that's not going to happen. If the car even gets made it's not going to be this cool.
I'm so jaded by concept cars that I just automatically assume they wont be made or they are going to be nothing like the production car at all.
this one looks to be close to the production model - I bet they bring it out to compete with the Ford and the Civic Si and price it at $24,600. The last Sentra SE-r Spec V topped out in the $22,000's.
Yes these companies definitely need to bring their SIs and Spec Vs, etc, up a notch because of companies like Hyundai and Ford. It just looks TOO good.

Wow, that problem was majorly exaggerated. I drove and raced my '03 for 70,000 miles on the stock manifold with no problems. I still see the car every day at work, though the new owner has since replaced the manifold with a header. Besides, there are millions of Altimas out there with the same engine, and you don't hear about major issues with those.
