Makes snowmobiles usable year round

pretty cool. talking to the guy and his wife at the bike show yesterday.

Sled engine and transmission untouched expect a larger radiator added.

interesting.. I have seen them used on water.. but never on land with wheels.

^^^^ CanAm is a bit different.

these guys take an existing sled (which are getting less and less use due to crappy snowfall amounts) and retrofits them

conversion takes about 5 hours and is reversable

I've seen snowmobiles converted for asphalt drag racing, but nothing like the original poster's. The high center of gravity looks a little scary to me.

Neither would turn very well, I suspect, but god bless 'em for doing their own thing.

I think I would rather keep the track at the back and put some smaller diameter wheels up front to keep the CoG lower and get more rear traction.
