Excited!

All I can find right now on the project are these links to facebook and instagram but what exciting news after all the previous failures in Southwest Missouri. 2 hours from my house, an hour and a half from my moms house and we were thinking about retiring to the lake area in 10 years or so anyway. More incentive to do so with this news.

I just saw this linked on FB and came to see if it had been posted yet. This looks like a really neat track, lots of nice elevation change.

I wonder what the ownership of the track is? Private ownership, country club membership style, or funded by a collection of clubs and racers (like HPR)?

Duh, Mexican drug cartel!

I hope it turns into reality. Out here in California, every time a track is announced, you can consistently make money betting that it'll never happen...

The elevation changes appear to be fantastic. I also don't understand why it won't be open for roughly 6 months, the racing surface appears to be absolutely perfect as it is right now.

That looks like it will be a nice track.

Fingers crossed for a Lemons event here once open, this would be second closest to Colorado now that the event at Heartland Park seems to have left the schedule.

Completely inaccurate we all know that the drug racers got their supplies from colombian sources.

Also looks like it would make a hell of good off-road track.

After hot lapping an ATV/side-by-side track built on the side of a hill, I agree.

Aw, berkeley.  Now I gotta try to lose a bunch of weight to get back into my leathers from 40 years ago....

Seriously, I'll be following this closely.   I'm told by a friend they've paved the entire circuit with a preliminary layer of asphalt.

I'm still trying to figure out where the pit lane is going to be on that course, though.

Just a reference to imsa etc in the 80s where most drugs came  in through powerboats.

LOL, Tom Spangler got it.  My reference was to the Netflix series "Ozark" where they open casinos and own a strip club to launder Mexican drug cartel money.  The racetrack is a good next project for them!

I'm mildly surprised they didn't pave the cut-throughs at the top to make a short, medium, and long track.

Is my perspective just off? That looks like rapid enough elevation change to get airborne in a street car.

Been watching this and so far looks to be legit. The rate at which the details have emerged have been super rapid, and seem to be on the up and up. The one that was seeking funding in Oklahoma looks to have fallen through unfortunately, so I've been hesitant to show too much excitement.

Agreed. Just got an email from 1010ths about scheduling track events here in 2021! Crazy how GRM post is the first I hear a few days ago and now it's all of a sudden all over! Excited!

I was wondering why I hadn't heard anything else about it. Can't say I'm surprised.

Me either. The pricing structure was a bit high for what you get and them catering to just private use I believe was their downfall. Not enough clientelle willing to pay those prices with Hallett a stones throw away. I hope more than anything that Hallett can resurface soon. It's getting rough out there.
