Wow that is a small envelope engine for that power from the factory. Very very nice
EDIT: Because apparently after clarifying in 2 posts after this, the thread is still going the wrong way.

6.2 is only roughly 370 cubic inches. Rather tiny for a naturally aspirated pushrod engine with that kind of power... and passing 2014 emissions regulations... with a big warranty on it.
Truly awesome. 455hp base. We live in an amazing era. Hard to whine about "Camaro tail lights" when it's literally two and a half times the horsepower of a stock Malaise era 'vette.
p.s. it doesn't have Camaro tail lights.
Wow... big power, decent economy and a pretty package. Now if it was only $25k instead of $52k I'd own one tomorrow.
$52k is still a really good price, easily the best dollars-for-performance deal for a new car as is often the case with Corvettes.
One C5, a guy who owns a sports bar owns it, seems his wife mostly drives it around now.
The dealerships don't bring them in normally. They're not even bringing in Toyobarus because they're too "upmarket" (although 2 have been specially imported so far...landing one would cost at least $100kUS.)
I just hope we can get past the "Vettes handle because of sticky tires" comments from the Press and get a Vette that handles well because it just handles well.
we are definatly living in an age of you can have your HP -and- economy too. Not to mention it runs clean. What more could you ask for (other than one in your garage)?

The Boss 302 makes 444hp from 5.0 liters. Just sayin'.
I wonder what the cost will be with the dealer "added value" markup that all new models seem to suffer from initially.

but with many more pounds and cubic displacement in terms of outer dimensions... don't be all troll-y

As much as I'm a Ford fanboy, it also makes nearly 100 less torques.

and being a Ford fan I agree, but the Coyote, dimensionally, is almost as large as a Boss 429

an who would really want a brand new model? First years are always filled with all sorts strange bugs and glitches. usually the 2nd year of production are much better.

And this is why '63 Split Windows now sell for 6 figures and up.......people didn't like them at the time.

And the Corvette doesn't have a 7500 RPM redline.
Nevertheless, your point is noted. But he was talking about HP, not torque (notice no "s" in torque). Nothing a $4k supercharger wouldn't take care of, but then you'd be making all kinds of stupid HP, so what's the point?
You sir, should get better at watching Top Gear. We all know "torques" is the appropriate measure of an engine's ability to put you in the seat!

I watch Top Gear...For entertainment. I don't take any information I hear on that show as worth a crap.
