My 09 dyno'd right after Dan's 08 STi on his shop's Dyno (Mach V, a GRM sponsor). Both stock. After mine he was like..."hmm, that's interesting. That's just a hair under what our STi just dyno'd at"
If it's "actually" 260 crank HP this time, it will be quite the performance drop from the current one, which is "actually" around 290....

Fwiw I have never appreciated subaru for being a "bargain bruiser" because they aren't. They're too thirsty and fragile to earn that in my book.
^ This. When you have to change head gaskets at the same interval as timing belts, you're doing it wrong.
I was hoping for a awd turbo brz for the wrx, and a awd really turbo brz with lsds all over the place for the STI. This is a disappointment.
Also, why not make it attractive? Look at how much more of the current generation Focus' are being sold than the last. Did it suddenly become a good car? No, it suddenly became attractive (They were already good). If you're gonna hire stylists, why not hire good ones? And don't fire them when they show a litle initiative.

The designers of the car have said that this is not going to happen. I wouldn't be surprised if they never put any fi on the BRZ.
The only thing they never ruled out was a supercharger. Toyota I mean.

Right now i'm guessing thats why it has a lower 0-60, i could be wrong though. I want to see what review sites get when it's tested.

Well Subaru doesn't exactly have slumping sales right now either, lol.

Actually, this is a bit wrong. We didn't get the second gen focus here(except wearing Volvo knickers) and instead recieved a version that should have worn escort badges......it wasn't only looks that made them sell, the third gen focus is a huge leap over the previous '08-11.......I still have a first gen, my sister has a US second gen(2009), and my mom has a 2012. Guess which one never should have graced that nameplate.
Subarus are supposed to be ugly, but weird ugly. This thing's generic ugly.
I find myself wanting another bugeye, but this time a wagon. Damn GRM.
