My friend is looking for new exhaust for her 2013(?) Mustang GT.

So far she is looking at the Roush but does NOT approve of the $700 price tag. She asked me about the Ford Racing M-5230-S piece but I don't know much about Blue Ovals.

What's a good cost-effective setup? Not completely grassroots DIY but something decent and with a good sound. Thanks!

If she's just looking for an improved exhaust note over stock there's any number of axle back systems for decent money.

Cost effective would be the pre-13 GT500 mufflers, around $350 or so. Just a bit louder and "growlier" than the stock setup, and bolts up to the stock pipes.

I almost bought an exhaust for my '13 GT before I decided I was going to ditch it. I spent a lot of time on YouTube listening to exhausts.

Yeah, that... have any names I can point her towards? She's not a huge car person but she bought this Stang a couple months ago and she's having fun with it.

I like the Mangaflow exhaust (not the MagnaPacks). Performance Peddler has a system where you email them a quote and their prices are very cheap compared to anyone else. I've used them a few times for Mangaflow exhaust pieces and have been very happy with them.
