No kidding. I really want to get one. Even though I'm going to restore my Miata, if the new Alfa was that good, I would buy it brand new. My wife would love the car, too.
I very much hope it happens.

Holy crap. Did they EVER do that backwards. Just reading the Wiki gave me cold chills. I had no idea Alfa ever built a boxer motor and now I am going to have nightmares about it.

Hopefully Italian styling and sound and Japanese reliability.I have read both on the Miata.net and Alfabb.com that there probably will not be an Alfa version. which sucks, as that's the car I was ready to buy next. With a "1750" version of the Multi-Aire, it would have been a great car. (and what the Spider should have developed into over it's 30 year life span)
What? No!!!!!!!
Last I heard, the Italian version will just be badged as a Fiat or Abarth - Sergio thinks Alfa-branded products need to be 100% homegrown.
So they tagged all of the Fiat dealers with Alfa signs to sell one car that we are getting an extremely limited supply of? I think the cost of the signs will be more than the profits if that is the case.

Actually the Alfa boxers as used in the 'sud are great engines. Used to have one of those in the UK before it succumbed to rust:

Color me pleasantly surprised at the size and weight of the newly revealed ND. (and 4 lug wheels too!)
looking forward to seeing engine specs, and LOVING the motor being mounted so far back...
