Well, the Queen has unfortunately taken a liking to how my E30 sounds, and wants me to put a stereo in her e28, too. She received an Alpine CDA-105 headunit for Christmas, but we haven't bought speakers yet.
I've got real good quality 5.25"ers in the front and 6x9s in the back (no, I didn't cut the deck) of the E30, so I would assume something similar would be good for her. She listens to mostly Alt. Rock and NPR.
The limits are as follows: No cutting of metal, very little cutting of plastic/trim, no amps, no subs.
The car has the premium sound system, so I'm going to rewire the thing anyway.
What speakers should we buy, and where do I stick them? The car has 4" speakers on an oval plate up front, and 5.25" speakers on the rear deck.
If you go to the www.mye28.com forum and do some searching, there have been a bunch of discussions there about what speakers to use, which ones fit best, and where/how to install them without breaking out the Sawzall.
