40,000 horsepower! Words can not describe it!
That's neat, but if they want my attention, they'll need to get rid of those barriers separating the "cars". I used to street drag in my teen years, that was way more rush than this provides. Give me fuel, give fire, give me that which I desire.

I see someone has never witnessed an NHRA Top Fuel run in person..
Not a 4 wide fan.
A drag race is between 2 cars.
Crew chiefs must hate that place, lane choice is way harder!
How do you flip for a lane? (street style).
There is nothing more visceral to spectate than a fuel pass. Choking eye watering exhaust fumes and a noise like no other.
There were 4 wide races when sanctioned drag racing was still a baby. So, no, drag racing isn't nessesarily between two cars, lawyers, track owners, and sanctioning bodies made it so.
This is the coolest thing the NHRA has done in a longtime.
I enjoy it. It's sort of rare that all 4 make a clean pass at the same time, but when they do, it's cool. I've never been a huge pro-stock guy, but going 4 wide makes it a bit more exciting.
I've experienced top fuel in person several times. I can only imagine what it must feel/sound/smell/taste like going 4 wide.
I laughed and thought drag racing was stupid till I went and saw it live. Oh man, it simply defies explanation.
Anything more than 6 seconds is boring, you could read a chapter of a book.
When the fuelers come to the line, you will never get the book up!
They do their burnout and you are like WOW!
Then they turn on the other fuel pump and time stands still.
Color commentators said that the 4 wide registers a 2 on the Richter scale!
Having seen the the big dogs run the regular 2 wide at Brainerd, I thought heaven landed on earth at the time. I can only imagine the in person experience of 4 wide.
