The Atlanta courses were the fastest autocross courses I've ever seen--definitely not tight at all. One fast slalom, one very fast slalom, a big sweeper, and even some elevation change and massive bumps.

a quote from one of the ETR competitors on their web site

"Look at the speedo on Sat..in the salom at the finish... a true 60mph salom."

Yeah, I hit my 62mph rev limiter in the slalom.

The "bleeding edge of traction" slalom into a braking zone not to far from the parked competitor cars looks like a SS oversight to me, but it could just be an optical illusion...?

At 2:10 in that video, Dave's car appears front and center. Great job, Dave!

Those speeds are slower than the last couple of events I went to in Geneva, FL. I was in third gear at those.

Love the name of this race team! "Michael Casino’s 2008 Putz Motorsports/Hack Driving Honda S2000."

If that course isn't safe, then we couldn't have a moving car anywhere on the sites we use up in Maine (except Loring AFB). You could probably fit the entirety of our typical sites in between that slalom and those parked cars.

at 1:56-58ish it looks like he's braking pretty hard on a line straight for that neon, but again, could easily be an optical illusion. nevermind :)

Grats all around Dave - good job indeed.

I've promised myself to get out there more often this year so maybe I'll run into you and congratulate you in person.

and if you noticed John's car was staging and your car was the one heading out onto the course

I think the course was fast but I also think that it really seemed to work better for specific cars. I don't have any in mind in general but it just seemed to be that some of the classes just had cars that handled the course better.

I know at the 2010 National championships I was 1 second faster than FSP and I could not even touch their times at Atlanta. Not sure if I was just that off or what?
