Just saw an ad on television- my local Kia dealer is offering an extra $1000 on any Toyota trade-in.
Ouch!

There are Ford and Chevy dealers here in Memphis doing the same thing. I don't own a Toyota....I actually like to have a bit of EXCITEMENT in the car I drive, tho I must admit I am looking at an older PreRunner I found for a halfways decent price.
I suspect they think Toyota resales are going to rebound, and they're both moving cars and stocking up on inventory...

The only problem with that deal is it involves trading your Toyota for a Kia.

But the Kia will stop and not kill innocent people, so there's that.
Speaking of Toyota, have you seen their new Minivan? Dude, that thing rocks! Make mine the V6 with every option. Road Trip!!!!

The Toyota shipyard here in Portland indicates that they're DEFINITELY stocking up some inventory. That huge parking lot was looking pretty full the other day, about like it was just before the cash-for-clunkers fiasco.

I hear the designer of the AE86 got to work on the minivan to make it a little less mundane.
I am also liking the new sienna. I really like that toyota puts a lot of power in their van. a 3.5 sienna is faster than my Dynasty, even with 4 or 5 people in it. And yes, i raced a minivan and lost. I am totally willing to do that and love it, because ive been on the other side and beaten a few with various caravans ive had.. Good fun for all involved.
And i heard the thread author has got a caravan kicking around too.. hows about it? Make it your lotus tow vehicle

With my personal experiences with both brands, I have yet to see a problem with that. In fact, I think it's a big step UP the chain.

yeah.. but that's impressive considering their slide.... That company can pull some crap outta their ass when they need too.
I checked out a forte koup the other day and I was really impressed with it! I would still rather spend my ~16K on a C5 Z06 though lol

THIS.
On a side note, the blue-book on my wife's 2008 4Runner with 15k miles on it is actually higher than what we paid for it in the first place 2 years ago
