wow, even under camo it looks sexy
The rear end of the 350Z always looked unfinished to me, This looks better.

I really, really like this revision. That rear quarter window just screams 240z. Oh, and the new nissan headlamp design actually works well here, unlike the maxima.
I could never warm up to the styling of the 350z, but this revision is much easier on my eyeballs. They even painted those assinine door handles. They are still big and stupid but at least they are body color on the new car.
I hear the 370z will be lighter than the 350z. This is good news.

Now they can get beat by S2000s in AS instead of RX-8s in BS?

Unlikely, since the g37. Weighs a few hundred more than the g35 it replaces
Wow, I never thought of this before but why in the hell are the RX-8 and the S2K in different classes?
Consider:
RX8 ----------- S2k
232 HP -------- 237 HP
159 lb-ft ------ 162 lb-ft
3064 lb ------- 2864 lb
225/45R18 --- 215/45R17
Still not impressed. They were clearly trying to work in 240Z windows but they don't go with the 350Z body style. At least they haven't tried to make a new 240Z shudders
Hmm the awkward clashing mix of curves and stark squarishness remind me of a WW2 fighter plane...
I give it my approval.
now with a new version out, hopefully the price will drop on the "older" ones and I can afford one.
And I'll believe lighter when the car is actually out and someone puts it on a scale.
HP hasn't been the car's big issue, size and weight have. While it's a nice boulevard cruiser it sux when you put it on some tight twisties or an autocross course. For some reason they have the power steering set up so that it resists rapid motions so something as simple as a slalom becomes an exercise in power. I've run off my driveway trying to make a spirited run towards the road. If I have any speed or throttle pressure at all the wheel simply fights you.
It looks like nissan has released the official pics of the car....

So i finally looked up the 350 and RX8, and I would sooner buy a Mustang. Same goes for the Genesis coupe and the toybaru concepts
It is starting to look like the last generation supra. Kind of sad. But I am not surprised. They should take a Que from the other successful retro cars and do a retro style car. Maybe call it the 380 Z. It could be a close styling/retro 280 Z. everything after the 280z has been a let down. All are big heavy cruisers not sports cars.
Was hoping for a 400Z with a 4.0 L V-8 akin to the M3 and RS4.
I like the styling except the air dam, looks like a bulldog or something.
Looks like a TVR Griffith, which is also weirdly proportioned.

Of course this is what I think many of us wanted it to look like:
I have driven both the 350Z and the G35 Coupe and although both are very good cars they are just too big, too heavy and too expensive for me.
I am eager to drive one, but thts a while off yet, but lots to love, more power, less weight, smaller, more good looks, and more ugly looks, the tail lights are fugly, of course I thought the 350z tail lights were pretty bad too

Backseats vs none? sorta 4 doors vs 2? I cannot claim to understand SCCA classing.

That would be the new 240Z in an alternate reality where new cars don't suck. Well, with a different grill anyways...

It could be the 200 pound penalty that the RX-8 carries. Perhaps it's just because the S2000s are faster? I've never beat an S2000. But RX-8s . . . there's one I could never touch, but otherwise, they are right at home in BS.
